Privacy

Last updated: June 2026

hereherehere is built to need as little of your data as possible. There's no account, no server, and no location tracking. Your information lives on your device, not ours.

What we don't collect

Using hereherehere doesn't require an account, email, phone number, or sign-up of any kind. We don't operate a backend that receives your activity, and we don't track your GPS or device location. The place you share is text you type yourself.

What stays on your device

Your identity keys, your friends, and the messages you post are stored locally on your phone. Your private keys never leave the device. When you post a message, it's end-to-end encrypted so that only friends you've added can read it.

How sharing works

Messages travel directly between phones over Bluetooth. Nearby phones may help relay your encrypted messages through the crowd, but they can't read them; only your friends hold the keys to decrypt them. Nothing passes through a server we control.

This website

hereherehere.app is a static site hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process standard request information (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver and protect the site, as described in Cloudflare's privacy policy. We don't run analytics or set tracking cookies. When you open a friend link, the friend details are contained in the part of the URL after the #, which your browser never sends to the server; it's read entirely on your device.

Donations

Donations are handled by Stripe. If you choose to support the project, Stripe processes your payment under its own privacy policy. We don't receive or store your card details.

Children

hereherehere is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the date at the top of this page.
